Yesterday, our cohort took a drive up the Seward Highway. Along the way we stopped to gaze at the beautiful scenery and take it all in. As we progressed up the highway we decided to stop at Alaska Wildlife Conservation where we traveled by foot to view all the animals. I got to pet a baby moose!! After we were finished touring the conservation park, we took for home. Two of our lovely cohorts made a fantastic first family dinner (it's going to be heard to beat that meal). After dinner we went to the Alaska Small Schools Basketball tournament. Attached to the post is a picture of Alaska and the dots represent the small schools and where they would need to travel to play a basketball game. The distances they travel, it's just crazy. This just goes to show dedication and patience. What an awesome first full day here in Alaska. More adventures to come.
