03/18/16 12:30 p.m. Anchorage, Alaska
Late last night we arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. It was quite the day of traveling, from the morning shuttle to the time spent at MPLS airport; I could definitely feel the fatigue at the end of the night. I am use to spending a lot of time alone throughout the day, and this day spent with 13 other people was something new! Usually I'm a night owl but by the time we landed I was exhausted. After not had much to eat we all decided that a late dinner would be the wisest thing. After securing our three rental minivans, we headed off to find whatever was open at 11:00 p.m. in Anchorage. We settled for a little grill right off the main drag. After a bit of confusion we all ended up a the same place the Bear Tooth Grill. I decided upon a lovely caesar salad for my late diner (: Around 12:00 a.m. (3:00 a.m. home time) I hit a wall and slept until 9:00 a.m. This morning 11 of us traveled into town to find out what Alaskan coffee shops had to offer. I ordered the "sludge" simply because of the name; it was incredible. The 14 of us are currently sitting around the middle level kitchen of our 3 level, 12 bedroom, 8 bathroom home, with the mountains as our front facing view. Looking forward to the rest of our day!
